17-Year-Old Girl Develops ‘Virus Destroying Mask’

The world is struggling to fight the COVID-19 global crisis. This has brought about the need for people to develop skills and come up with strategies and devices to prevent further damage by a deadly virus, and a Xl class student in Bardhaman's Bardhaman district came up with a game-changing mask. According to Indian Express, her design has been selected and shortlisted in a national competition as well.  This girl named Digantika Bose is studying at Vidyasagar Smriti Vidyamandir Branch 2 in Memari and her invention is 'Air Providing and Virus Destroying The Mask'. Facebook buys 9.99% stake in Reliance Jio for Rs 43,574 crore, Largest FDI in India's Tech Sector

United States social media major Facebook will invest Rs 43,574 crore into Jio Platforms, a unit of Reliance Industries, for a 9.99% stake, a development which said on Wednesday it has increased India's shares sales by more than 8% in trade. The investment will value Jio Platforms - a platform for digital applications - at Rs 4.62 lakh crore. An agreement with RIL-led Mukesh Ambani to reduce debt and allow a company led by Mark Zuckerberg to reach the forefront of America's largest market. Both companies, in separate statements, say they will collaborate on some major projects that will open up business opportunities to people across India. Lockdown Extended till May 3, Says PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today extended lockdown till May 3 to manage the pandemic of coronavirus in India. He also said the restrictions might be reviewed for the least affected parts of the country on April 20. "After taking into consideration all suggestions, we have decided to increase the lockdown period till May 3," PM Modi said in his 25-minute speech shortly after India crossed the 10,000-mark in COVID-19 cases. Some state governments like Telangana, Punjab, Tamil Nadu ,Odisha have already extended their lockdown on their own. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses the nation, "We must make sure that this virus doesn't spread to the other parts of the country. We should always be worried all the time after we hear that somebody in some part of the country has died of the identical virus. We must make sure that new hotspots don't arise."
